From Warehouse to Public Space

This project transforms a former municipal warehouse, attached to the venerable “abeurador” of Santanyí, into a new, versatile space open to the community—hosting gatherings, exhibitions, presentations, and other public activities.

The original volume is preserved, its structure and appearance adapted and completed, and the whole is integrated into the urban fabric through a new skin of Santanyí stone that clads the party wall and redefines its presence on the street. This gesture frames the entrance next to the abreuvoir’s porch, reinforcing its connection to the surroundings.

A minimal yet precise architectural intervention that stitches together past and present in the heart of the town’s historic center.
